Apple in talks to launch Apple Pay in Canada: WSJ

(Reuters) – Apple Inc (AAPL.O) is planning to launch its electronic payments provider in Canada in November, the first international expansion of Apple Pay, the Wall Side Road Journal stated, citing people accustomed to the subject.

The iPhone maker is in talks with Canada’s six largest banks, Royal Bank of Canada (RY.TO), Toronto-Dominion Financial Institution (TD.TO), Financial Institution of Nova Scotia (BNS.TO), Bank of Montreal (BMO.TO), Canadian Imperial Bank of Commerce (CM.TO) and Nationwide Financial Institution of Canada (NA.TO), the individuals told the Journal.
