Jan. 17 (UPI) — Ellen Pompeo says ABC executives would use Patrick Dempsey as “leverage” as she negotiated her Gray’s Anatomy pay.

The Forty Eight-12 months-old actress, who performs Meredith Gray on the collection, explained in an interview with The Hollywood Reporter how Dempsey’s departure from the medical drama was once “a defining moment” in her landing a $20 million per 12 months deal.
